Women's World Cup time

By the time you read this, the first match in the FIFA Women's World Cup will have already been played. The tournament is in China, so unless you wake up at 2:00 AM, you'll have to catch replays, or highlights.

Here's a great analysis of the teams in the tournament. The USA, defending champs Germany, and hosts China will all be the favorites to take home the trophy. I don't think the USA has lost in about 40 matches, so any loss might be considered an upset.

Now I must admit, I probably won't watch any of the matches unless the USA is playing. When the final was held in Los Angeles (it was originally in China, but the SARS outbreak moved it to the USA) 4 years ago, I skipped it because it was Germany vs. Sweden. I'm not saying the play is bad, it's just too slow and light for my taste.

That said, COME ON YOU YANKS!!! Abby and Aly are gonna light this cup up.
