Soccer Potpurri

A quick collection of good soccer stuff.

First, watch the top 10 goals from the Champions League group stage.

Second, Milan beat Boca Juniors 4-2 to win the FIFA Club World Cup. Watch the highlights here. The match was pretty good. I believe South America now holds the edge in victories at 23 to 22.

Third, on Sunday at 10:00 AM, Barcelona plays Madrid on Gol TV. Do not miss the Spanish derby. Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Henry, Yaya, Deco, & Iniesta take on Van Niestelrooy, Robinho, Raul, Cannavaro, & Sneijder. That's 10 of the worlds top 20 players. Sadly the player who I think is the best in the world at the moment, Lionel Messi, is hurt and won't be playing.

Fourth, AC Milan x Inter Milan is at 6:00 AM on Sunday. Fox Soccer Channel will have this one. Kaka, Seedorf, Pirlo, & Gattuso vs Ibramhimovic, Julio Cruz, & Crespo. Do not miss this one either.

Fifth, Kaka won the FIFA world player of the year award. I'm OK with that. He's been amazing for Milan this year and had some great moments with Brasil. Brasilians have won the award 8 out of 17 times. An Argentine has never won.
