An end to the European Club Season

Permalink 05/22/08 07:41, by jamesey, Categories: Everyone Else , Tags: champions league, england, france, germany, italy, soccer, spain

The UEFA Champions League final was played yesterday. Manchester United beat Chelsea 6-5 in penalties after a very intense match that ended 1-1. This game will be be remembered for some great misses. Chelsea hit the post twice, and the penalty misses were dramatic too. Here are the highlights.

I must say that Manchester United slept through the semi-finals and final. They were the most boring champions I've seen in a while. They barely attacked against Barcelona and Chelsea. It was a bit of the anti-football.

The domestic leagues in Europe are over too. Here are the top goals from the big 5 leagues. I've also added links to the final league tables.

Follow up:

France
- Champion - Lyon

Italy - Champion - Inter Milan

Spain - Champion - Real Madrid

Germany - Champion - Bayern Munich

England - Champion - Manchester United
