Weekend Soccer Scores

This was the first weekend of AYSO matches.  I'm coaching 3 teams with Eddie.

U-16  Burbank - It was an ugly game as we lost 3-1. Our girls have skills, but the 8:00 AM kickoff seemed to make them forget how to play. They made way too many mistakes and couldn't focus at all. We've got some work to do. We're lucky the other team was bad too, because the score could have been 6-1.

U-12 Super Robot Martian Girls - After the first few practices with these girls, I was really expecting the worst. Our young ones try really hard and want to play, but after watching practice I was pretty sure this season would be tough.  These girls blew my mind as they emphatically won 5-1. They passed the ball well and held their positions as if they'd been playing together for months.  I think we'll have to push these girls a little more in practice.

U-14 Yo Gabba Gabba - We knew these girls would do well.  They're very skilled and enthusiastic about playing. They did start off slow, but after a rousing half-time talk they responded with a dominating second half performance. I was very proud of one girl, Jasmine, who is about half the size of all the other girls, but got stuck in and very physical throughout the game.

LA Galaxy - I wanted to throw up after this match.
