Hockey teams beware!
I've been to 10 hockey games in my life. The home team has a record of 1-10 in the games I've been to. I've seen the Coyotes lose three times at home. I've seen the Ducks lose twice at home. I've seen the Kings lose 5 times. The lone home team win I've witnessed was when Dallas beat Toronto last month.
My theory is that hockey wasn't meant to be played in the Southwestern United States, a place where ice forms about once every 20 years. Thus, seeing teams in the region means seeing teams and players that aren't in hockey-crazy places, so the teams in the region are more likely to lose.
Edit: I've just been informed the Ducks won the Stanley Cup last year. I guess my theory needs tweaking.
