My first smog check ever

This is mostly a note to my future self, but if you live in L.A. this is useful.

I had to get my first ever smog check for my Acura. Somehow the California DMV neglected to remind me about this checkup, so they let my car's registration expire before warning me. Nice huh?

I really had no idea how much it'd cost, or where to go. Co-workers and friends said it would cost $70-100. That sounded obnoxious and I looked around the internet and found Joe's Smog Check in North Hollywood. It took 23 minutes, even with 3 cars in front of me, and cost just $32.00. Joe submitted my results to the DMV electronically, so I didn't have to mail anything. The service, price, and convience were all fantastic. I want to get more smog checks just to go back.
