Cruisin Down the PCH

Permalink 02/24/11 16:41, by jamesey, Categories: Happenings

I was in San Francisco over the weekend, and on my way back to L.A, I took the Pacific Coast Highway. I'd never done it before, but I have to say it's incredible. When I wasn't in a spot where I was about to drive my car into the ocean, I managed to take some pictures.

More Big Sur

I saw a whale breach here. I spent the rest of the trip trying to spot another, and I did!

There were a few points of bridge reconstruction. Not a bad place for a red light.

Start of Pacific Valley. Sea Lions were lining the beaches.

The Big Sur region was remarkable, and I can't wait to make that drive again as a passenger. Once I hit Moro Bay and Pismo, I started driving fast, because I was getting a little tired. The trip took 9 hours and 425 miles. By comparison, taking I-5 to SF is 5 hours and 370 miles.
