Gold cup first round wrap up

I think this comic sums up the first round.

The guy in red is from Panama: You're soccer isn't much to be excited about.
The guy in white is from Mexico: Are you kidding? We avoided the Gringos (USA.)

You can see the first round results and standings here. The USA had an easy time, winning their three matches by scoring 7 goals and giving up none. We're buzzin right now.

Mexico played poorly, lost to Honduras, and barely avoided playing the USA in the quarter-finals by squeaking past Panama 1-0 last night. I think this comic represents the first real respect that the Mexican media has ever given to US Soccer. We've slapped them around for a while now, but this is the first time there has ever been admission that the USA is a superior team.

The quarter-finals are on Saturday and Sunday. The USA plays Panama at 1:00 PM Pacific time on Saturday. Fox Soccer Channel and Univision will cover it.
